What kind of Sacrifice?

The Mithraic Sacrifice is a Act of Creation… creation of a world. Creation out of “The One” – indeterminate, impersonal. One God – symbolized as a White Bull. A sacrifice from which the others “feed”… Others and the whole world.

Beasts with Meat,.. Snakes with Blood – on one side (the left one) and Scorpions with Seed,.. the Ears of Grain with Skin… the Ravens with Bones – on the other side (the right one).

The Ritual Expression of the Sacrifice is “The Sacred Supper” between Sol and Mithras; that is between Heliodromus and Perses. The Heliodromus (Sun’s Messager) beeing the Officiant inside Mythreum and the others, taking their places in the lodges independently positioned of their grades… in a way which anticipates Arthur’s “Round Table”.

Who are …the Raven, the Ear of Grain, the Scorpion, the Dog and the Snake?

They are “The Five Ones” – like “TOPOS” of the Creative Act; Five Elements which give “centrifugal” Meaning to the Act (Solve) and Coherence to the Creation (Coagula); Five Grand-Witnesses to the hand shake between Perses (Moon) and Heliodromus (Sol). Namely: Chorax-Mercurius-Raven-Nigredo, Nymphius-Venus-Ear of Grain-Albedo, Miles-Mars-Scorpion-Rubedo – as Inferior Ranks … then Leo-Iuppiter-Dog-Citrinitas with Pater-Saturnus-Snake… – as Superior Ranks. It’s like this… because Mithras “is” Orion. It’s the Pentagram watched by the Sun and the Moon, in which the Bull is sacrificed (around 2200 BCE),.. or the Aries (around 100 CE),.. Pisces (over 500 years), Aquarius… and So On.

What happens between Sol and Mithra?

Mithras rises, in sign of victory, a chunk of the slained Bull- overhead; Sol recognizes Mithra’sVictory and his Solar Attributes. It happens… an Embrace, an Exchange, a Banquet, an Ascent to Heaven. All of these are Instances of Light. It goes from a Horizontal Light – between Cautes and Cautopates.. from a Universal, Eclipsable, Vincible Sun; to a Vertical, Ascending Light  – to an Eternal Sun, Invincible One. Through the Sacrifice of the Creator, the whole Creation becomes A’RTA.

What happens after…?

The Ascent to Heavens in Sol’s quadriga is made towards Eternity,.. into the Oceans of Time,.. back… like Aeon. It results the Trinity: Mithra-Sol-Aeon but also…a Renovatio Temporum. The Mysterium is comprised between Saturn-Chronos and Aeon-Chronos.
